Why 45 has been my biggest year for growth...

I've always been a wise soul, much older than my years reflected and even now when I look back at how much I knew about life and people even in my 20's I'm astounded.
Sometimes I read the things I wrote back then and think I've regressed!!

My mum was and is wise also, as a teen I thought I knew it all but often her words come back to me as I impart the same wisdom to my own kids and I realise just how much she passed on to me and I'm thankful for that.

This happened on Friday
Friday I had to go have another cortisone injection into my hip and as it isn't safe to drive after the injection (last time I suffered paralysis for a few hours afterwards) my mum came and drove me to and from the appointment.
It was all very simple and easy, in and out in 15 minutes and no paralysis this time I'm happy to say :-)

My mum and I spent most of the day together and I took her to Fighting Fit and PUSH to show her where I spend my time when I'm not working in my home office.

It was a great day and we had some wonderful conversations including one where I told her how much I was enjoying my 40's and particularly this year.

Shooting at PUSH for Get Commando Fit
Writing and publishing my 1st book definitely took an emotional toll but in it's wake it has left me with such a sense of peace and completion....it is as though I left any lingering baggage from my childhood and failed marriages completely behind me.

It feels freaking awesome!!

I told my mum..."mum this is the first decade (as an adult) that I've felt as though there is nothing to fix...I'm fixed! I'm perfect...as I am....I totally and completely accept and like myself...warts and all.

I'm not perfect (I know, I did just say I WAS perfect, I'm kinda contradictory like that:-) ) but I cut myself slack these days and instead of fighting things accept them, move on and continue on with what really, truly matters.

For the first time I'm standing in this place of total awe for the future....totally and completely free from the baggage I accumulated over the past 40 or so years.
Now I'm consciously stepping into this next phase of my life that is about enjoying this life I have worked so hard to create for myself and my kids.
I've worked so hard in my business and now enjoy a level of success and financial freedom I only dreamed of in my 20's & 30's and it's just dawned on me recently that it's time to stop and smell the roses, to enjoy the fruits of my labours...I've been doing just that and it's been so much fun!

There is going to be a whole lot more of it too!

Get Commando Fit Shoot - pretty cool day!
I'm working on a new project and of course these days that starts with another book :-)
I'm a few thousand words in already and it seems to be writing itself, this is a good sign!
I've secured the url, my new logo is being designed as we speak and I'm busting at the seams to get my website up!
It sits beautifully alongside the my HMAE Program and PUSH and I can't wait to show it to you.

HMAE is my yang and this new project my ying, something I'm noticing I'm paying more attention to these days.

The start of this year was tough with my child being so unwell, it has been an ongoing battle and we are still not out of the woods yet but I've been able to find a sense of peace in this and only worry when I need to worry, enjoy the small wins and not focus on the "what if's"...

I'm very proud of myself actually, I had big plans for this year but even midway through thought 2014 was a write off as far as my bigger goals went but within the space of 2 months I've been able to rally, pull out all stops and all of a sudden I'm ahead of the game!
3 months left in the year and I feel unstoppable.
Acupuncture :-)
Life is damn good right now and I'm so excited about what the rest of it will bring.
Much, much gratitude fills my heart in this very minute.
I'm kicking back on the couch with my laptop after a relaxing day of getting the house and meals ready for the week ahead, having my nails done, getting my eyebrows waxed, buying a new outdoor setting for our back deck so I can enjoy my coffee out there in the mornings when the weather heats up, plugging in my social media for the week for my 3 FB pages, cooking an awesome Chicken Larb for dinner and hanging out with Dave.

As I write I'm grateful for finding the love I had been searching for, for way, way too many years.

He's just awesome and we make a great team, I've never been happier or more positive about the future than I have in this relationship..we were meant to be and it feels amazing.

I'm grateful to have spoken to both of my kids today (they are always awol on the weekends) and that they are both safe and well and happy...today, and I'll take that.

I'm grateful that when I wake up in the morning I'm looking down the barrel of another awesome week.
