Once again I have to apologise for being absent the last few weeks but honestly I have not had 2 minutes to scratch myself!

This week has been particularly crazy trying to sort out my hip and get all the last minute stuff done for my new sites. Monday I left home around 7am to get to the clinic to have my MRI and bone scans and was there for 8 hours!! Plus the peak hour traffic in and out! The good news there was that in that 4 hours I was able to deal with a last minute crisis with my promo site so by the time I got home it was live - woo hoo! The MRI didn't take too long and I went right from there to have my die injections so anything nasty would show up in my femur then I had the 4 hour wait then the bone scan took over an hour and a half!! By the time I got off the table after laying flat for all that time my hip was on fire. I asked the girl who did the scan how my femur looked and she said it looked clean so I knew going into yesterday I had nothing serious to worry about which was good. As I was driving home I got a text from Nick (tri coach) asking if I could bring my projector to the club meeting. I txt back saying no worries then thought to myself ":I wonder when that is?". 30 minutes later it dawned on me it was that night. I was totally wiped but had to go so I had 30 minutes to deal with any email emergencies, get kids dinner, jump in the shower and get back in the car. Got home after 10.30 totally beat and was asleep by 11.15. Woke up around 5 to start on the progress reports that had been weighing heavily on me as I had planned to do them all when I got home. Mum came here around 10.30 yesterday to drive me to the specialist as I wasn't allowed to drive myself home. We headed off around 11.15 and the doc was an hour late! The needle was fine and didn't hurt at all; in fact I didn't even know he had started! When he said he was nearly done I couldn't believe it. I said "Is that IT!!??' and he said if I really wanted the long, slow painful one I should have asked :) I had to wait around for an hour to go back in so he could twist and push my hip around a bit more then came home totally wiped again. I now have to fill in a pain chart over the next 10 days so we can see if the cortisone is going to have any effect or whether I will still need clean up surgery. I'm hoping this is it; it will be nice to not wake up every day in a world of pain - 18 months of that has been enough! I can run again on Friday so not too much downtime which is awesome. I went to bed last night at around 9.30 and just as I was about to nod off a big possum jumped onto our bedroom roof and that was it after that I was still laying there at 3am so decided to get up and get some work done (there is plenty to do!!). Will no doubt be dragging my heels today and may just work from home so I can have a nap if I need one. The first of the Centro Shopping Centre's Summer Promotions kick in tonight so should be a busy few months now. A full on day of work today to get my new site (rebuild of current one) up and then I can sit back and breath a sigh of relief; I will be busy but not stressed about having to get everything to come together by the deadline which will make a nice change. Time to go eat, my stomach is rumbling like crazy :)
